The G-Series

The TAKUMI G-series machines are specially developed and designed for graphite machining. The completely enclosed machining chamber incl. graphite extraction system ensures modern, highly particle-resistant graphite machining.


All G-series milling machines are equipped with the latest version of the Heidenhain control TNC 7, which is particularly user-friendly thanks to dialog and ISO NC programming. The programming method typical of Heidenhain enables outstanding results with the finest contours. The modern control technology is an effective tool with which the graphite milling machine precisely meets even high machining requirements and ensures maximum process reliability even when CNC milling complex graphite parts. Faulty contours are thus a thing of the past.

The specialist for graphite machining with tight manufacturing tolerances

The stable and rigid gantry design of the graphite machining centers ensures exact adherence to form and dimensional accuracies as well as high surface qualities due to the low-vibration production of the workpiece. The CNC milling machines are equipped with a high-speed motor spindle (25,000 min-1, HSK 50 E). Due to the spindle bearings, which have been specially optimized for machining graphite, milling is possible with very high precision and generates a particularly fine surface quality. The protective double coating and high-grade particle protection also provide the milling machines with optimum protection against contamination - for a long service life and machining of consistent TAKUMI quality. 
  
TAKUMI's G-Series machines are equipped with absolute direct travel measuring systems. The maximum table load of the CNC machines is 500 and 800 kilograms, respectively. 
  
The high temperature resistance in graphite machining comes from an integrated thermal spindle expansion compensation system and an optional ball screw cooling system.
